Step by step

How PikMeGo works

Two journeys run through the platform: a rider getting from one place to another, and a driver turning their time behind the wheel into work. Here is each of them, in order.

For riders

Booking a ride

Twelve steps, most of them a single tap. The app is doing the work of matching, routing and pricing; you are choosing where you want to go and how.

  1. Download the app

PikMeGo for iOS and Android. Booking happens in the app — there is no web booking.

  2. Create your account

Sign in with your mobile number. We send a one-time password to confirm it is you, then ask for your name.

  3. Set your pickup

The app uses your current location, or you can search for an address or drag the pin to the exact gate, door or corner you want.

  4. Choose your destination

Search for it, pick a saved place like home or work, or choose it on the map.

  5. Pick a vehicle

Cab, auto or bike, with the seats each one takes shown alongside. Only what is available in your city appears.

  6. Review the ride

Route, fare estimate and payment method, on one screen, before anything is confirmed.

  7. Request the ride

We look for drivers near your pickup point. If nobody accepts, you are told — the request does not sit there silently.

  8. Get matched

You see the driver, the vehicle and the number plate as soon as one accepts.

  9. Track them in

Watch the vehicle approach in real time. Call or message through the app without either of you seeing the other's number, and share a live link if you want someone to follow along.

  10. Start the trip with your PIN

Give the driver the four-digit code the app shows you. The trip cannot start until it is entered.

  11. Pay

Cash or digital, depending on what is enabled in your city. The fare is itemised, not a single number.

  12. Rate the ride

Rate the driver and add a comment. Drivers rate riders too, and both feed into how accounts are reviewed.

For drivers

Driving with PikMeGo

Onboarding is the longest part and you only do it once. Everything after it is the loop you repeat every shift.

  1. Download the driver app

PikMeGo Dost — a separate app from the rider one, for iOS and Android.

  2. Register

Sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password.

  3. Submit your details

Your personal information and a profile photo, then your identity proof and driving licence.

  4. Add your vehicle

Choose the category you drive, enter the vehicle details, and upload its registration certificate, insurance and permit. Your city may ask for more.

  5. Add your bank details and accept the terms

This is where your payouts will go. Then the driver terms, and your application is submitted.

  6. Get verified

Our operations team reviews the application. You can see the status at every stage, and anything rejected comes back with the reason so you only redo that one item.

  7. Go online

Once approved, go online whenever you want work. Offline means no requests — the app stops using your location entirely.

  8. Receive requests

A request shows the pickup, the estimated distance and the fare. You have a few seconds to take it, and declining costs you nothing.

  9. Pick up the passenger

Navigate to the pickup, then enter the rider's four-digit PIN to start the trip.

  10. Complete the trip

Drive to the destination and end the trip in the app. The final fare is calculated from the trip that actually happened.

  11. Get paid

Cash rides you keep, and the commission comes out of your settlement. Digital rides are added to your earnings. Payouts go to your bank account on the settlement cycle, each with a statement.

Behind the scenes

What the platform decides, and where

Fares, driver matching, cancellation charges and payouts are all calculated on our servers, not on your phone. That is why an estimate and a receipt agree with each other, and why a fare cannot be changed from a device.

Matching

Requests go to drivers near your pickup who are online, available and eligible for the category you booked.

Pricing

The fare is built from the trip that happened — distance, time, waiting, fees, tax — using the rules configured for your city.

Payouts

Driver and fleet earnings are totalled per settlement period, with commission and cash already accounted for.
