Safety
What we do before, during and after a ride
Safety is not a feature list — it is a sequence. Who is allowed to drive, what you can see and do while the trip is running, and what happens when you report something afterwards.
In an emergency, contact the authorities first. In India the emergency number is 108. Report it to us afterwards so we can act on the account and the trip record.

Who is allowed to drive
Verification happens once, before a driver's first trip, and continues afterwards as documents approach expiry.
Identity and licence checked
A driver submits an identity proof and a driving licence, and our operations team reviews them before the account can take a single ride.
Vehicle documents checked
Registration, insurance and permit are verified against the vehicle the driver will actually be driving.
Documents expire, and we notice
The platform tracks expiry dates and flags a document before it lapses, so an out-of-date insurance does not quietly stay on the road.
Extra checks where required
Address proof, police verification, fitness and pollution certificates are collected where the city or the operator requires them.
During the ride
What you can see and do
The things that matter in the moment: proof you are in the right car, someone who can watch, and a way to call for help without leaving the app.
A PIN starts the trip
The app shows you a four-digit code. The driver has to enter it before the ride can begin — the check that you are in the right vehicle.
Live tracking
The vehicle's position updates every few seconds while a driver is approaching or a trip is running.
Share your trip
Send a live link to anyone. They follow the ride in a browser with no app and no account, and the link stops working when the trip ends.
Contact without exposure
Rider and driver can reach each other through the app without either seeing the other's phone number.
Emergency help in the app
An emergency action during a trip raises an alert with your trip and location to our safety team.
Emergency contacts
Add the people who should be reachable if something goes wrong, so they are already on file rather than being looked for at the worst moment.
Availability of individual features can vary by city and by vehicle category. The app shows what applies to your ride.
After the ride
What happens when you report something
Ratings both ways
Riders rate drivers and drivers rate riders. Both are visible to our team, and low ratings are reviewed rather than averaged away.
Report a problem
Raise a report against a specific trip. It reaches support with the ride, the vehicle, the driver and the payment already attached.
Accounts can be suspended
Driver and rider accounts can be suspended or blocked while a safety report is investigated.
Guidelines
Habits worth having
None of this is unique to PikMeGo. It is the short list that makes almost every ride safer, and it costs nothing to follow.
- Check the number plate against the one in the app before you get in.
- Never give the start PIN to anyone until you are in the vehicle.
- Share your trip when you are travelling late, alone, or somewhere unfamiliar.
- Sit where you are comfortable, and wear the seatbelt where one is fitted.
- Keep conversation and directions inside the app so there is a record.
- If you feel unsafe, end the ride somewhere public and report it.
